Named in honor of the 48th state's recent admission into the union, the ship was the second and last of the Pennsylvania class of "super-dreadnought" battleships. Although commissioned in 1916, the ship remained stateside during World War I. Shortly after the end of the war, Arizona was one of a number of American ships that briefly escorted President Woodrow Wilson to the Paris Peace Conference. The ship was sent to Turkey in 1919 at the beginning of the Greco-Turkish War to represent American interests for several months. Several years later, she was transferred to the Pacific Fleet and remained there for the rest of her career

Aside from a comprehensive modernization in 1929–1931, Arizona was regularly used for training exercises between the wars, including the annual Fleet Problems (training exercises). When an earthquake struck Long Beach, California, on 10 March 1933, the Arizona's crew provided aid to the survivors. In July 1934, the ship was featured in a James Cagney film, Here Comes the Navy, about the romantic troubles of a sailor. In April 1940, she and the rest of the Pacific Fleet were transferred from California to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, as a deterrent to Japanese imperialism.

During the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, Arizona was bombed. After a bomb detonated in a powder magazine, the battleship exploded violently and sank, with the loss of 1,177 officers and crewmen. Unlike many of the other ships sunk or damaged that day, Arizona was irreparably damaged by the force of the magazine explosion, though the Navy removed parts of the ship for reuse. The wreck still lies at the bottom of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. Dedicated on 30 May 1962 to all those who died during the attack, the memorial straddles but does not touch the ship's hull.

This Revell model kit represents the USS Arizona during the time of the Pearl Harbor attack

This model kit is a great addition to your collection.

Plastic Snap & Screw Together Model Kit

Pre-painted.

Display Stand Included

No specific Scale

Dimensions: Approximate Length 8.5” x Wingspan 11”

Recommend for 10 years and above.

The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engine, medium bomber manufactured by North American Aviation (NAA). With approximately 10,900 units built, the A6M Zero remains one of the most recognized and historically significant fighter aircraft ever produced.

Features:

1/48 scale plastic model kit with authentic WWII proportions

Snap & screw together assembly – ideal for beginners

Pre-painted with Imperial Japanese Navy markings

Includes display stand for immediate showcasing

Approximate dimensions: 7.5” length x 9” wingspan

Recommended for ages 10 and up

Take flight with the New Ray Vought F4U Corsair 1/48 Scale Model Kit, a pre-painted snap & screw model designed for beginner aviation enthusiasts. Following Lord Carnarvon's successful introduction of federation in Canada, it was thought that similar political effort, coupled with military campaigns, might succeed with the African kingdoms, tribal areas and Boer republics in South Africa. In 1874, Sir Henry Bartle Frere was sent to South Africa as High Commissioner for the British Empire to bring such plans into being. Among the obstacles were the presence of the independent states of the South African Republic and the Kingdom of Zululand and its army.

Frere, on his own initiative, without the approval of the British government and with the intent of instigating a war with the Zulu, had presented an ultimatum on 11 December 1878, to the Zulu king Cetshwayo with which the Zulu king could not comply, including disbanding his army and abandoning key cultural traditions. Bartle Frere then sent Lord Chelmsford to invade Zululand after this ultimatum was not met. The war is notable for several particularly bloody battles, including an opening victory of the Zulu at the Battle of Isandlwana, followed by the defeat of a large Zulu army at Rorke's Drift by a small force of British troops. The war eventually resulted in a British victory and the end of the Zulu nation's dominance of the region.

This set represents the British infantry unit stationed a Rorke’s Drift 1879.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0047/7560/8431/products/AAF-7_Zulu_War_British_Infantry_Rorke_s_Drift.jpg?v=1550992938
star-trek-uss-enterprise-ncc-1701-e-1-1400-scale-model-kit-by-amt
Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E 1:1400 Scale Model KIt By AMT

Officially Licensed

Plastic Model Kit, Assembly & Paint Required

Skill Level 2

35 Pieces

Dimensions: Approximate Length 19”

Recommend for 10 years and above.

In 1996, the Enterprise-E made its first appearance in the film Star Trek: First Contact. It was proposed to be the basis for a heavy artillery system, an anti-aircraft vehicle, and a heavy tank destroyer. By the end of the war, a single prototype chassis of the E-100 had been produced, and it was only partially completed. After the war, the prototype was shipped to the United Kingdom for trials, but was later scrapped.

The basic design was ordered by the Waffenamt as a parallel development to the Porsche Maus in June 1943. It was the heaviest of the Entwicklung (E) series of vehicles, meant to standardize as many components as possible. The proposed designs were the E-10, E-25, E-50, E-75 and finally the E-100.

In March 1944, the Adler company in Frankfurt submitted blueprint 021A38300 for a super-heavy tank called E-100, after the tank was proposed in April 1943 along with the other Entwicklung series vehicles. According to the blueprints, the tank would be armed with a both a 149 mm gun and a 75 mm gun. Two types of engines were proposed: one was a 700 hp Maybach HL230, with a transmission and turning mechanism borrowed from the Tiger II. The estimated top speed was 23 km/h. The second variant would have a new 1200 hp Maybach engine and a top speed estimated at 40 km/h. The design had removable side skirts and narrow transport tracks to make rail transport more viable. This design was very similar to the original 'Tiger-Maus' proposal, but had larger 900 mm diameter road wheels and a new spring based suspension rather than the original torsion bars. A new turret was designed; intended to be simpler and lighter than the Maus turret. Permission was given to produce the tank based on the potential use of the E-100 as a tank destroyer with either a 15 cm StuK L/63 or 17 cm StuK L/53 gun.

In July 1944 Hitler ordered the development of super heavy tanks to stop. While it is true that the Panzer IV was the only German tank to remain in production for the entire duration of the war, for the first three of those years it was a close support weapon produced in relatively small numbers. It was only after the appearance of the long-gun armed Ausf F2 in the summer of 1942 that the Panzer IV became a potent tank killer, and its heyday came during 1943, when for a short period between the gradual disappearance of the Panzer III and the entry into service of the Panther it was indeed the backbone of the Panzer forces.

The original Panzer IV was designed to operate in support of the Panzer III. That tank, initially armed with a 3.7cm KwK L/46.5 gun and firing armour piercing rounds, was expected to act as the German Army’s tank killer. The Panzer IVs would follow behind, and would use their 75mm howitzer firing high explosives to destroy soft skinned targets such as enemy anti-tank guns, which were not particularly vulnerable to armour piercing shells.

The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf D was the fourth production version of the Panzer IV medium support tank, and saw the first increase in the thickness of the side and rear armour. The 15mm armour of the Ausf A-C was replaced by 20mm armour. Of the original order for 248 tanks, 229 were completed as Panzer IVs, while the remaining chassis were used to produce two self-propelled guns, sixteen bridge laying tanks and one ammunition carrier. Late Ausf Ds were produced with 30mm armour plates bolted and welded to the front of the superstructure and hull, and 20mm plates bolted to the sides.

The production of the Ausf D meant that by May 1940 every tank detachment could have a medium tank company of between six and eleven Panzer IVs, and on 10 May 1940 the Panzer divisions that were to take part in the campaign in the west were equipped with 280 Panzer IV Ausf A-Ds. The Ausf D served in France, the Balkans, Africa and Russia, remaining in combat until the last survivors were destroyed early in 1944. A number of Ausf Ds were withdrawn from the front line in 1943, rearmed with longer 7.5cm KwK L/48 guns and used for training purposes.

This Armourfast Panzer IV Ausf D version model kit comes with 2 models in each box providing the flexibility to create 2 versions. Ideal for collecting or miniature war gaming.

46 Highly detailed plastic figures

Unpainted figures, painting required

Molded in green

Recommended for modelers and hobbyists 12 years and above.

This exciting set of the famous “Leathernecks” in action has a full complement of Marines with bazookas, flame throwers, and inflatable assault boat

Historical Series

42 Highly detailed plastic figures

Unpainted figures, painting required

Recommended for collectors and hobbyists 12 years and above.

The Qin dynasty ([tɕʰín] Chinese: 秦朝; pinyin: Qíncháo; Wade–Giles: Chʻin-chʻao) was the first dynasty of Imperial China, lasting from 221 to 206 BC. The strength of the Qin state was greatly increased by the Legalist reforms of Shang Yang in the fourth century BC, during the Warring States period. In the mid and late third century BC, the Qin state carried out a series of swift conquests, first ending the powerless Zhou dynasty, and eventually conquering the other six of the Seven Warring States.
