The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. First flight occurred on March 19th 1989 and was introduced into service in 2007. The V-22 is currently in service with the United States Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy.
This model represents a United States Marine Corps MV-22 from VMM-165 “White Knights’ based out of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar.
This model is made by Air Force One under the brand name of Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The landing gear are extended permanently. There is a display stand included that requires minor assembly.
This is a worthy addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
