Comprising superior quality, solid, substantial injection molded plastic components with a simple snap-fit design that allows for easy assembly without the need for glue, this SkyMarks 1/130 Scale Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900 - with Registration N487AS - which is painted with the stylized ONEWORLD airline alliance logo along its fuselage, measures approximately 12-7/8-inches long with a 11-1/8-inch wingspan and comes complete with a Display Stand.
An accurate, true-to-scale reproduction of the actual aircraft, the model is great for collectors and features authentic, highly detailed graphics and markings. The Boeing 737-900 falls under the category of Boeing's 737 Next Generation aircraft, abbreviated 737NG, and was launched as the third-generation derivative of the 737 Classic. Substantially redesigned with numerous updates to the 737 Classic, the 737NGs primary competitor is the Airbus A320 series. The Boeing 737-900, for whom Alaska Airlines was the launch airline in 1997, and accepted delivery in 2001, has a slightly longer fuselage than the 737-800 and can be typically configured to generally seat between 177 and 189 passengers. Boeing delivered its final 737NGs in January 2020, having replaced it with the fourth-generation 737MAX, which was introduced in 2017.
