The Airbus A321 used by American Airlines is a narrow-body, medium-haul commercial aircraft from the A320 family. It measures 44.51 meters in length, with a wingspan of 35.80 meters and a height of 11.76 meters. The aircraft typically seats between 181 to 220 passengers in a mixed-class configuration, including Main Cabin, Main Cabin Extra, and First Class. It has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 93,500 kg and a range of up to 3,700 nautical miles. Powered by either CFM International CFM56-5B or International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 engines, the A321 features advanced avionics with fly-by-wire control systems and integrated digital cockpit displays.
