The Quest Astra I is one of the most widely used model rocket kits we offer and features Quest's TTW - Through-The-Wall - balsa fin design.
TTW fin attachment makes building so much easier. It really helps you glue the rocket fins on straight and in the correct position. The Astra I includes color coded parts to make identification for assembly easier. It uses a Kevlar shock cord that is anchored right to the engine mount for reliable recovery. The 14 inch parachute is already cut-out and the shroud lines are cut to length. These features give you the benefit of a more successful building experience. The Astra I is functionally equal to the Estes Alpha however the addition of TTW and Kevlar increase the ease of construction and reliability of flight. No other manufacturer offers all these great features for such a low price!
The Quest Astra I uses Q-Jet A3-4, B4-4, C12-6, D16-6, D16-8 model rocket motors. It can also be flown with Estes A8-3, B6-4 and C6-5 rocket motors.
