The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is a versatile tilt-rotor aircraft used by the U.S. military for a range of missions, offering both vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) and short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities. As a hybrid between a helicopter and an airplane, the Osprey can take off and land like a helicopter but transforms mid-flight into a turboprop airplane for high-speed, high-altitude travel.
The CMV-22B is the Navy's version of the Osprey, replacing the C-2A Greyhound for carrier-based operations. It boasts an extended range, advanced high-frequency radio for beyond line-of-sight communication and is capable of carrying larger payloads over shorter distances. Its primary mission is to transport personnel and supplies between ships that are beyond the range of conventional helicopters.
This Daron Postage Stamp Collection 1:150 scale model replica of USN CMV-22B Osprey Bureau Number 169439. The model can be displayed in cruise mode, VTOL mode or in transition.
This is a great addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
