Freightliner Trucks is an American truck manufacturer and a division of Daimler Trucks North America. The division is known mainly for the heavy duty class 8 diesel trucks it offers, as well as class 5-7 trucks.
Introduced in 2002, the Freightliner Columbia is a versatile, 120-inch BBC, set-back-axle, Class 8 truck and tractor. The Freightliner Columbia is offered with a wide range of engines, transmission and other components and a broad selection of interior and exterior options. It is available as a day cab or in several sleeper cab configurations, including the top-of-the-line 70-inch raised-roof sleeper cab. The Freightliner Century and Columbia models were replaced by the Cascadia in 2010.
This Welly 1/32 scale diecast model of the Freightliner Columbia has a sleeper cab with aerodynamic top. The hood of the truck can be open to reveal the engine. The hood and the main cab are made of diecast metal while the extended cab and details such as mirrors, exhaust pipes, steps, gas tanks, etc are made of plastic with chrome finish. Details include separate clear plastic headlights. The coloring is done is high gloss finish with accurate markings and branding. The wheels are free rolling and made of rubber. The doors can open revealing nice interior details such as accurate seats, steering wheel and instrument panel.
The model does not come with an individual retail box.
This model makes for a wonderful display piece adding to your diecast collection.
