This second set of siege engines from Orion includes a drill bore, crane a 2 types of shields.
The drill bore is a length of wood with a sharpened metal tip that is twisted to bore a hole through masonry.
The crane is designed to hoist a soldier in a bucket to the top of the enemy battlements. Though not a practical scenario in a battle, the crane was more likely used for construction.
Also included in the set are two types of mantlets or wooden shields. These were used to shield attachkers from the defenders as they approached enemy defenses.
This set is a great addition to your diorama or your miniatures war gaming arsenal.
