Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowler VAQ-209 “Star Warriors” 2010, 1:72 Scale Diecast Model

Based on the A-6 Intruder the Northrop Grumman (formerly Grumman) EA-6B Prowler primary mission is to support strike aircraft and ground forces by interrupting enemy electronics and gathering tactical intelligence. The aircraft carries 4-crew and is in service with the USN and USMC. The first USN EA-6B was retired on June 10, 2011 and the last carrier deployment by an EA-6B took place on November 14, 2014. The USN has replaced the EA-6B with the Boeing EA-18G Growler.

Electronic Attack Squadron 209 (VAQ-209) is a United States Navy electromagnetic attack squadron, known as the "Star Warriors". VAQ-209 was established at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia, on 1 October 1977, as part of the U.S. Navy Reserve Carrier Air Wing 20 (CVWR-20). The squadron first flew the EA-6A Intruder. VAQ-209 transitioned to the EA-6B in May 1990 and finally to the EA-18G Growler in 2014. The squadron moved to NAS Whidbey Island, Washington in 2013. The “Sta Warriors” received special permission from Lucasfilm to use the name and Darth Vader's likeness in their livery.
