The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. First flight occurred on March 19th 1989 and was introduced into service in 2007. The V-22 is currently in service with the United States Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy.
This model represents a United States Marine Corps MV-22B from VMM-365 “Black Knights’ based out of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River.
This MV-22 model by Air Force One is highly detailed with squadron markings, panel lines, moveable rear ramp and the various antennae. The model comes with landing gear extended and the wheels are able to roll. The interesting feature is that the engines can rotate depending on how you display the model. The wing box also rotates to show the model in “stowed” configuration. There is a metal display stand included that requires minor assembly.
This MV-22 is a worthy addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
