The F-15SG (formerly F-15T) is a variant of the F-15E, ordered by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). F-15SGs were chosen on 6 September 2005 over the Dassault Rafale. The F-15SG remains critical to continue having air superiority aircraft over neighboring countries that deploy state of the art Russian aircraft. The RSAF's F-15SG is an all-weather multi-role fighter designed to achieve air superiority over the battlefield. The F-15SG is the most advanced version of the Eagle with its great speed, maneuverability, electronics and weapons.
The Republic of Singapore Air Force has two squadrons of F-15SG, 142nd Sqn “Gryphon” and 149th “Shikra” (Sparrow Hawk) based at Paya Lebar, AB. The F-15SG is an advanced variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle and can perform air-to-air and air-to-ground attack missions in all weather conditions. The 142nd Squadron’s motto is “Honor and Glory” and the Gryphon chosen as their mascot because its body parts are those of kings of the animal world. The squadron had been disbanded but reactivated in 2016 when the F-15SGs arrived.
This Hobby Master model is a replica of F-15SG #8316 from the 142nd Squadron “Gryphon” Royal Saudi Air Force based at Paya Lebar Air Base, 2019.
As with most Hobby Master models this F-15SG Eagle features engraved panel lines, antennas, surface details an opening canopy, a well-appointed cockpit (with instrumentation details), full weapons complement, optional-position landing gear, authentic squadron markings, and a display stand.
This F-15SG Eagle is a great addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
