The Painted People of Early Scotland
The Picts were a confederation of tribes that lived in what is now northern and eastern Scotland during Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages. Known to the Romans as “the painted ones,” the Picts were fierce, independent warriors, often tattooed or decorated with blue body markings. This set represents the unarmoured majority of their warbands—light infantry who fought with axes, spears, and small round shields.
Inside you’ll find parts to assemble 25 multi-pose Dark Age Pictish warriors, enough to form a large warband for Swordpoint or similar systems. Ideal for portraying early Scottish raiders, skirmishers, or Celtic mercenaries, these models combine historical authenticity with conversion potential.
