The Italeri 1/72 scale M3A1 Scout Car model kit recreates one of the most versatile armored reconnaissance vehicles of World War II. Developed by the White Motor Company starting in 1938, the M3A1 featured a 6-cylinder Hercules engine, four-wheel drive, and a top speed of 81 km/h. It was capable of transporting up to eight soldiers and was equipped with a .50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun and two additional Browning 7.7mm side-mounted guns. First deployed in the Philippines in 1941, it later served in North Africa, Sicily, and on the Eastern Front. Used by U.S., British, French, and Soviet forces, the M3A1 was key to patrol, command, and artillery towing operations before being replaced by more modern vehicles like the M8 Greyhound. This model is also Wargames Approved, making it perfect for tabletop historical battles.
