Occre 1/300 RMS Titanic Wooden Model Kit

Quick Facts

The Occre 1/300 RMS Titanic is an unassembled wooden and metal ocean liner model kit featuring 3,423 precision-engineered parts for intermediate model builders. Offering approximately 600 hours of museum-grade assembly, this 35-inch display replica features laser-cut structural frames, double-planked hull timber, photo-etched brass superstructure decks, cast zamak fittings, and an engraved display cradle.

What historical vessel inspired the Occre RMS Titanic model kit?

The Occre RMS Titanic is an authentic scale reproduction of the Olympic-class Royal Mail Steamer operated by the White Star Line, famously deemed unsinkable prior to her ill-fated maiden voyage on April 10, 1912. Departing Southampton bound for New York with over 2,200 passengers and crew, the Titanic collided with an iceberg off Newfoundland on the night of April 14 and sank in two hours and forty minutes.

Carrying only 20 lifeboats—sufficient for barely half those aboard—the catastrophe claimed more than 1,500 lives, becoming the most famous shipwreck in maritime history. Located in 1985 by Dr. Robert Ballard at a depth of 3,784 meters (12,415 feet), the sunken liner remains an enduring legend, faithfully captured in this Occre replica from her quadruple funnels down to her bronze-finished triple screws.

What materials and components are included in the Occre Titanic kit?

The Occre Titanic kit integrates laser-cut multi-species hardwoods, high-density zamak castings, fine-gauge photo-etched brass frets, and textile rigging cordage. Combining natural wood hull structure with precision metal deck elements captures the grandeur of the Edwardian ocean liner without sacrificing scale fidelity.

• Laser-Cut Hardwoods: High-precision timber sheets form the central keel spine, transverse bulkheads, sub-deck foundations, and authentic planking strips.
• Photo-Etched Brass: Multiple detailed brass frets supplying multi-tier passenger railings, windowed promenade partitions, cargo cranes, stairs, and bridge wing fittings.
• Die-Cast Zamak Metal: Substantial alloy castings for the triple propellers, rudder assembly, mooring bitts, capstans, lifeboats, and anchors.
• Textile & Scale Details: Rigging lines for stays and aerial antenna wires, multi-sheet full-color decal banners, and pre-printed White Star Line flags.
• Factory-Sealed Security: Packaged in a shrink-wrapped collector box measuring 625 × 410 × 89 mm (24.61 × 16.14 × 3.50 in), ensuring complete component inventory.

How difficult is the Occre 1/300 RMS Titanic to assemble?

The Occre Titanic is rated at an intermediate difficulty level, requiring roughly 600 hours of construction time guided by full-color photographic instructions. Rather than intricate sail rigging, the build focuses on clean hull planking, smooth primer-and-paint application across the expansive hull, and careful alignment of multi-level deck cabins.

• Digital Assembly Instructions: Access comprehensive step-by-step photographic guides covering hull planking, superstructure buildup, and funnel rigging.

• Step-by-Step Video Walkthrough: Follow official video tutorials showing techniques for plank bending, photo-etched rail folding, and finishing.
