Kettenkrad is one of the most unusual vehicles of the Second World War. It resembles a combination of a motorcycle and a tracked vehicle. The design was so successful that even the Allied troops used the captured copies of this vehicle. Kettenkrad was designed in the late 30s at NSU Motorenwerke. In 1941, it officially entered the Wehrmacht armament. It has proven itself perfectly in difficult terrain as a light tug, tractor or supply transporter. It could carry machine guns, mortars and drums with a telephone cable. Approx. 8411 were produced.
The Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkrad is entirely designed with COBI building blocks. The use of as many as 176 blocks made it possible to faithfully recreate not only the vehicle itself, but also the trailer filled with supplies. The set does not include stickers. The blocks have been covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during intensive use. The set includes a figure of a German soldier in an Afrika Korps uniform. Sensational, universal head with a scarf print on the face will certainly find many applications among fans of COBI blocks. The whole set is complemented by a long list of accessories such as tools, weapons, headgear and a special brick with the vehicle name printed on it. An interesting fact is the hinged flap, under which there is a beautiful print of the engine. The set is ideal for the construction of dioramas recreating the struggles in North Africa, Eastern and Western Europe. The Kettenkrad set is a great gift idea for everyone, regardless of age, a military fan and a great reason to start the adventure with COBI building blocks.
