The Sukhoi Su-35 (Russian: Сухой Су-35; NATO reporting name: Flanker-E) is the designation for two improved versions of the Su-27 air-defense fighter. They are single-seat, twin-engine, supermaneuverable aircraft, designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and built by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant.
The Su-35 is an improved version of the Su-27M. The Su-35 first flight was Feb 19th 2008. The Su-35 has a redesigned cockpit and weapons-control system. It replaces the canards that were introduce on the Su-27M with thrust vectoring engines. The Su-35 entered service with the Russian Air Force in 2009 under the designation Su-35S. The aircraft is also in service with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force.
One of several Russian aerobatic teams is the “Falcons of Russia”. The team was formed in 2004 with flight crews chosen from personnel at the 4th Center for Combat Employment and Retraining of Personnel in Lipetsk. The true aerobatics are left to the Russian Knights and the Strizhi while the Falcons of Russia perform more tactical maneuvers
This Hobby Master model is a replica of Su-35 Flanker E Red 04/RF-95241 and was one of four of the “Falcons of Russia” planes that performed at the MAKS 2019 international air show from August 27th until September 1st. The air show was held at Zhukovsky International Airport outside Moscow.
As with most Hobby Master models It features engraved panel lines, an opening canopy, a well-appointed cockpit (with instrumentation details and a removable pilot figure), full weapons complement, a detailed exhaust port, optional-position landing gear, authentic Soviet markings, and a display stand.
Great care should be taken when handling this model. This is a great addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
