The Sukhoi Su-35 (Russian: Сухой Су-35; NATO reporting name: Flanker-E) is the designation for two improved versions of the Su-27 air-defense fighter. They are single-seat, twin-engine, supermaneuverable aircraft, designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and built by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant.
The Su-35 is an improved version of the Su-27M. The Su-35 first flight was Feb 19th 2008. The Su-35 has a redesigned cockpit and weapons-control system. It replaces the canards that were introduce on the Su-27M with thrust vectoring engines. The Su-35 entered service with the Russian Air Force in 2009 under the designation Su-35S. The aircraft is also in service with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force.
This Hobby Master model is a replica of an Su-35 from the Russian Air Force. In 2015 Russia sent armaments as well as Sukhoi Su-25, Su-24M bombers, Su-34 and Su-30SM aircraft to Syria to prop up the Syrian Government against Syrian opposition militant groups trying to depose the President. In 2018 Russia sent their new Su-35s to increase their firepower and support the other aircraft on their missions. Russia saw this as a way to test the Su-35 in real conflict conditions as well as an opportunity to show the world these aircraft and hopefully to obtain purchase orders from other countries.
As with most Hobby Master models It features engraved panel lines, an opening canopy, a well-appointed cockpit (with instrumentation details and a removable pilot figure), full weapons complement, a detailed exhaust port, optional-position landing gear, authentic Soviet markings, and a display stand.
Great care should be taken when handling this model. This is a great addition to your diecast aircraft collection.
