The Bundeswehr is the unified armed forces of Germany and their civil administration and procurement authorities. The Bundeswehr is divided into a military part (armed forces or Streitkräfte) and a civil part with the armed forces administration (Wehrverwaltung). The military part of the federal defense force consists of the German Army, the German Navy, the German Air Force, the Joint Support Service, the Joint Medical Service, and the Cyber and Information Domain Service.
MAN manufactured a total of 3500 of the 7-ton MAN CAT 1 trucks for the German Army between 1977 and 1985. Compared to the 2-axle 5-tonner, the 3-axle 7-tonner has a more powerful, aircooled 320 BHP Deutz engine with an exhaust turbocharger and charged air cooling. The attachments are the same as those of the 5-tonner. These trucks were used as flatbed vehicles, equipment carriers for reconnaissance drones, carrier vehicles for the LARS light artillery rocket system, as container transporters and also as three-sided tippers. Schuco is going to produce a miniature model of this MAN 7t to a scale of 1:87. Military models come with a metal body and chassis. As is expected of Schuco models, a number of key features have been reproduced exactly with the greatest attention to detail.
