Dragoons were originally a class of mounted infantry, who used horses for mobility, but dismounted to fight on foot. From the early 17th century onward, dragoons were increasingly also employed as conventional cavalry and trained for combat with swords and firearms from horseback
During the Napoleonic Wars, dragoons generally assumed a cavalry role, though remaining a lighter class of mounted troops than the armored cuirassiers. Dragoons rode larger horses than the light cavalry and wielded straight, rather than curved swords.
This set allows you to build not only Prussian and Russian Dragoon but also Russian Mounted Jäger regiments plus detachments of Prussian Mounted Volunteer Jäger. The Prussian regiments can be represented in either Kollet or in the campaign Litewka. There are a large variety of options for poses; charging/ attacking as well as shouldered swords for all.
